Terms of Service

Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using AHS Ratings (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility & accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use the Service.
• You’re responsible for your account and keeping your credentials secure.
• You must provide accurate information and promptly update it (e.g., verified email, username).

Usernames & profiles

Usernames must be unique, at least 5 characters, and use letters, numbers, or underscores. We may reclaim or remove usernames that impersonate others, violate rights, or break these Terms.

Your content

“Content” includes ratings, usernames, profile photos, and any text you submit. You retain rights to your Content. By submitting Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that Content for operating and improving the Service (e.g., rendering your chart, calculating community averages, and showing feeds).

You’re responsible for your Content and must have the necessary rights to submit it. Do not post illegal, infringing, or harmful material, or anything that violates others’ rights or the law.

Public display

Your username and ratings may be visible to others on the site (e.g., on your profile or in “Latest Ratings” and “Stats”). Your email is not publicly displayed.

Acceptable use

• No scraping, rate-limiting abuse, or attempting to bypass security or RLS rules.
• No uploading malware, exploits, or attempting unauthorized access.
• No harassment, hate speech, or content inciting violence.
• No impersonation or misrepresentation of your identity or affiliation.
• Respect intellectual property and privacy rights.

Third-party services

The Service integrates third-party services like Supabase (auth, database, storage/CDN) and Netlify (hosting). OAuth providers (e.g., Google) are optional for sign-in. Your use of those services may be subject to their terms and privacy policies.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we believe your use poses risk to the Service or others. Upon termination, some provisions survive (e.g., disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law).

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AHS Ratings and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill arising from or related to your use of the Service.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction specified by the site operator. If you’re a consumer, mandatory consumer protection rules of your country may also apply. Venue and forum selection will follow applicable law. (Replace this section with your specific jurisdiction if needed.)

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as we evolve the Service. We’ll update the “Last updated” date and, when appropriate, provide additional notice. By continuing to use the Service after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
